Dacic: Serbia firmly committed to preservation of Dayton Agreement

BANJALUKA - Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said on Friday Serbia was firmly committed to preservation of the Dayton Agreement, being one of its guarantors, and noted that attacks on Republika Srpska and its president, Milorad Dodik, were a consequence of violations of that agreement.

Speaking to reporters in Banjaluka, Dacic said the agreement was based on equality of the two entities and the three nations in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that political leaders in that country should always adhere to that.

No changes to the Dayton Agreement are possible without the consent of all the three nations and both entities, he noted.

Dacic, who was in Banjaluka for Republika Srpska Police Day celebrations, said the police forces of Serbia and Republika Srpska maintained the best possible cooperation and that it would be continued.
