Dacic: Serbia and Republika Srpska police stand together shoulder to shoulder

BANJALUKA - Congratulating the Republika Srpska police on their Day - April 4, Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said on Friday in Banjaluka they should continue to be the bulwark of the security and stability of Republika Srpska.

After the main ceremony that marked the occasion, Dacic said Serbia and Republika Srpska were inextricably linked and that the strength and unity of the Serbs did not back down in the face of challenges, but emerged even firmer and stronger.

"The police forces of the Republic of Serbia and Republika Srpska stand together shoulder to shoulder, safeguarding security, justice and the values of their people. Through a joint struggle against all threats, they are a pillar of the defence of our identity and freedom," Dacic said.

Before the ceremony, Dacic and Serbia's Acting Police Director Dragan Vasiljevic laid a wreath at a memorial to Republika Srpska police officers who have lost their lives on duty.
