FREIBERG - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Tuesday discussed possibilities of using advanced German technologies in the Serbian mining sector.
"With the German chancellor, we discussed possibilities of using Germany's advanced technologies and expertise in mining, and I believe that, through cooperation with Germany, which is the leader in application of innovation and ecological solutions in the mining industry, we will advance our capacities and lay the foundations for long-term sustainability in this sector," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post after the discussion with Scholz in the German city of Freiberg, Saxony.
He added that he expected the cooperation to contribute not only to advancement of the mining industry but also to achieving common objectives in energy transition and environmental protection.
"The foundations laid today will be crucial for future development of our countries in this sector," Vucic added.
