BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received a farewell visit from Slovenian Ambassador to Belgrade Damjan Bergant on Friday.
Vucic thanked Bergant for his engagement during his tenure in Serbia and wished him much success in his further work.
"During the discussion, we touched upon the friendly relations between our countries, which are based on mutual respect and cooperation," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.
He added that the ambassador had made a major contribution to strengthening of bilateral ties and that they had also exchanged views on opportunities for further development of economic, cultural and political cooperation between the two nations.
"We highlighted the significance of Slovenia's great engagement on regional issues as part of the Brdo-Brijuni Process, which is a contribution to peace and stability in the Western Balkans, and also Serbia's priority," Vucic noted.
He added that he had asked the ambassador to convey his regards to Slovenian President Natasa Pirc-Musar and expressed the confidence the cooperation between the two countries would continue to develop in the spirit of friendship and mutual trust in the future as well.
