MOSCOW - There would have been no coloured revolution in Serbia had the country imposed sanctions on the Russian Federation, Serbian Deputy PM Aleksandar Vulin said on Wednesday.
Speaking at the Moscow Economic Forum, Vulin reiterated that Serbia was a neutral country and that it had a coloured revolution going on in the streets because it did not want to be a part of values that said there would be no more history and that it must impose sanctions on Russia.
There has been no global conflict that Serbia has not been a part of, and it has always been on the right side of history and always a winner, Vulin said.
"We have never made the wrong choice. If big world powers need to learn something from Serbia, it is that, wherever Serbia is, it is on the side of freedom. And that is the real value. We have always been on the same side as Russia. We have never made a mistake. Some other countries and nations have," an official statement quoted Vulin as saying.
Throughout history, the West has always wanted Serbia to enter into a conflict with Russia and abandon the historical friendship with it, Vulin also said.
