BELGRADE - In a phone call with Rwandan FM Olivier Nduhungirehe on Wednesday, Serbian FM Marko Djuric said there was major potential for advancement of the relations between the two countries in many areas of mutual interest.
Djuric noted that Serbia and Rwanda maintained traditionally good relations and a friendship that dated back from the era of the former Yugoslavia and the Non-Aligned Movement, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.
He said Serbia was committed to bolstering its relations with all African states and noted that, since 2017, May 25 had been celebrated in Serbia as the Day of Friendship with African Nations.
Djuric also expressed the hope Rwanda would be one of the countries to take part in the specialised EXPO 2027, to be hosted by Serbia.
