BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on Thursday evening more countries would derecognise the so-called Kosovo.
In an appearance on an RTS talk show, Vucic said they were African and Asian countries and added that "there are some in Latin America as well."
He noted that, as a result of Serbia's work and changing global circumstances, Pristina would currently be unable to secure a majority in the UN.
He said the fact 109 countries had refused to vote against Serbia in a vote on a UN resolution on Srebrenica was a victory for Serbia, indicating a change in the world.
"It was a result of our enormous work, effort, energy, ambition, passion and a desire to protect and defend our country," Vucic said.
He also said entire Europe now understood what was going on in Pristina and that the Pristina authorities had been lying, especially about the Ibar-Lepenac canal blast, and noted that, in any case, Serbia would stand with its people in Kosovo-Metohija.
