BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday Serbia had been ruled by fear and terror in the past five months but that, regardless of any circumstances, the state must not and would not fall, and invited citizens to gather outside the National Assembly building in Belgrade on Saturday, April 12, to together set demands that would be in line with the Constitution and the will of the majority.
"I invite you also on behalf of the movement for the people and the state, whose name we will determine and whose programme we will be writing together. I invite all people to come to a great gathering, a great convention of our people and all citizens, from April 11 through 13 in Belgrade, the main gathering is on April 12, 7 pm. I invite all political parties, all movements," Vucic said in a video posted on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.
"I invite workers, farmers, hosts and hostesses. I invite our pensioners. Above all, I invite Serbia's youth. I invite all people who want to safeguard, protect and defend Serbia," Vucic said.
