In this episode of Focus, we examine the growing economic ties between Uzbekistan and France, as new trade agreements and business partnerships shape the future of cooperation between the two countries.
Uzbekistan and France have entered a new phase of economic cooperation following President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Paris. Agreements worth up to €12 billion were signed during the state visit, with investments in infrastructure, energy and water management.
French companies, including Suez and Orano, are strengthening their presence in Uzbekistan, contributing to key sectors such as utilities and resource development. The France-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce, launched last year, continues to facilitate business relations.
As both governments emphasise economic cooperation, Uzbekistan is positioning itself as a key investment partner in Central Asia, with growing interest from French companies in its expanding market.
