Following a stop in Pristina, UK Foreign Minister David Lammy will visit Belgrade on April 2, where he will primarily discuss strengthening cooperation in suppressing illegal migration and organized crime in the Western Balkans.
Lammy’s schedule includes an evening sit-down with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.
According to the UK Foreign Office, the meeting will entail signing an agreement on combatting organized immigration crime, which should speed up the intelligence exchange between the two countries aimed at curtailing and preventing smuggling and trafficking people.
Lammy will be communicating the UK’s direct commitment to fighting the individuals and groups responsible for turning the Western Balkans into a main transit route for illegal migrations and organized crime, it was said.
