KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Srpska lista has filed an appeal against a decision by Pristina's central election commission not to certify it as a contender in the February 9 elections in Kosovo-Metohija, Srpska lista confirmed to Tanjug on Tuesday.
At a press conference earlier in the day, Srpska lista representatives noted that the decision was unlawful and politically motivated and announced they would appeal.
Srpska lista leader Zlatan Elek said the decision had been made on orders from Pristina's PM Albin Kurti.
"This decision has no legal grounds, you must all know that, and proves how much Kurti wants to eliminate the Serbs from this territory," Elek said.
The commission decided not to certify Srpska lista despite the fact a registration and accreditation office had recommended that it be allowed to run in the elections.
