Serbia beat Switzerland at home in UEFA Nations League

LESKOVAC - The Serbia men's national football team beat Switzerland 2-0 in a UEFA Nations League Group A4 Match Day 3 game in Leskovac on Saturday evening.

Nico Elvedi (45+1 min OG) and Aleksandar Mitrovic (61 min) provided the goals for Serbia, whose goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic saved a penalty from Breel Embolo in the 72nd minute.

Young offensive midfielder Andrija Maksimovic, who came on as a substitute for Mitrovic in the 74th minute, made his debut for Serbia.

Serbia are third in the group table with four points, while Switzerland are in the last place with zero points.

Serbia will next play Spain in Cordoba on Tuesday, with Switzerland to host Denmark.

Serbia will be without midfielder Sasa Lukic, who sustained a shoulder injury in the match against Switzerland.
