Serbia beat Georgia in last EuroBasket 2025 qualifier

BELGRADE - The Serbia men's national basketball team beat Georgia 63-54 at home in the last FIBA EuroBasket 2025 qualifying game on Monday evening.

Both teams had already secured a berth at the competition before the last qualifying round.

EuroBasket 2025 will be hosted by Latvia, Finland, Poland and Cyprus from August 27 through September 14.

Serbia finished on top of Group G with six wins out of as many games, with Georgia in second place with three wins and three losses.

In front of around 7,000 spectators at the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall in Belgrade, Aleksa Avramovic led the scoring for Serbia with 14 points, Arijan Lakic scored eight and Mario Nakic and Balsa Koprivica added seven and six points, respectively.

Asim Djulovic made his debut for the Serbia national team, scoring five points.

Beka Burjanadze stood out for Georgia with 17 points, Duda Sanadze and Giorgi Korsantia each scored 12 points and Rati Andronikashvili added 10.
