Red Star Belgrade suffer OT defeat to Bayern Munich in basketball EuroLeague

MUNICH - Serbian basketball champions Red Star Belgrade have ended their EuroLeague campaign this season after suffering a 97-93 (84-84) overtime defeat to Germany's Bayern Munich in the competition's play-in game B in Munich on Tuesday evening.

Devin Booker led Bayern to victory with 21 points, Carsen Edwards scored 17 points, Nick Weiler-Babb scored 15, Vladimir Lucic added 13, while Niels Giffey and Ivan Kharchenkov each added 11 points.

Filip Petrusev stood out for Red Star with 30 points and five rebounds, Nikola Kalinic scored 20 points and seven rebounds, while Nemanja Nedovic and Codi Miller McIntyre each added 13 points.

In a bid to qualify for the EuroLeague play-offs, Bayern will face Real Madrid on Friday, and the winner of that game will play Olympiacos Piraeus in the play-off quarter-final series.
