Djokovic loses to Tabilo in Monte Carlo Masters second round

MONACO - Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic has failed to qualify for the round of last sixteen at the Monte Carlo Masters tournament after a 6-3, 6-4 defeat to Chilean Alejandro Tabilo in the second round on Wednesday.

World number 32 Tabilo, who won after an hour and 29 minutes of play, is now 2-0 head-to-head against Djokovic, who is placed fifth in the ATP rankings.

Tabilo will next face the winner of the tie between Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria and Valentin Vacherot of Monaco.

The prize money at the Monte Carlo Masters is 6,128,940 euros.
