ADELAIDE - Serbian tennis player Miomir Kecmanovic is through to the quarter-finals of the Adelaide ATP tournament after beating world number 64 Christopher O'Connell of Australia 7-6 (7-1), 6-2 in the round of last 16 on Wednesday.
Kecmanovic, who is 55th in the ATP rankings, won after an hour and 32 minutes of play.
Kecmanovic is now 2-1 head-to-head against O'Connell.
In the quarter-finals, he will face Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi.
The prize money in Adelaide is 766,290 dollars.
