On April 2, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic commenced consultations on forming a new cabinet and will spend the initial day of talks negotiating with the representatives of four election tickets.

First up to meet the president are reps from the Russian Party, the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians, the Justice and Reconciliation Party – the Bosniaks of Sandzak ticket and the Democratic Alliance of Croats in Vojvodina, as well as members of the We – Voice from the People caucus.

Part of the parliamentary opposition has already stated it will not accept the president’s invitation to discuss the new cabinet.

Outgoing prime minister Milos Vucevic resigned on Jan. 28 over an attack activists of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party committed against Novi Sad university students.
