BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Monday issued a call to dialogue to the Rector's Collegium of the University of Belgrade to find a solution to a situation in which higher education institutions remain blocked, with no classes being held, following the outbreak of student protests after the November 1 railway station tragedy in Novi Sad.
Vucic proposed that the dialogue begin on Wednesday, February 5, at any time suitable to the Collegium.
He noted that the call to dialogue was for the sake of the well-being of not only young people but entire society.
"In case students and professors hold the view that the demands have not been met in part or in full, dialogue must be opened on this and all other issues that could be of significance for overcoming the current situation," Vucic said, noting that authorities were ready to work day and night to meet all of the students' demands.
