Twelve candidates applied for the position of police director in a public competition which ended on Nov. 12, but only six applications were complete, the Interior Ministry announced on Nov. 29.
Having examined the submitted applications and proof, the commission tasked with selecting candidates for the position of police director found that out of the 12 five had incomplete documentation, while one application had not been submitted in a timely manner.
The Serbian police have been without a director for almost three years, that is since the end of 2021, when the term in office of then director Vladimir Rebic ended.
