On Nov. 28, opposition members of the National and Vojvodina assemblies staged another blockade of the Novi Sad Courthouse and Prosecutor’s Office, this time demanding an investigation into police violence during the rallies which followed the death of 15 in the partial collapse of the city’s central railway station.
Ahead of the protest, police erected a fence around the building’s entrance staircase, where several incidents took place during prior blockades.
During this latest rally, officers used their riot shields to push back the assemblymen in two instances, causing one policeman to drop his baton.
