BELGRADE - Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic said on Tuesday the Serbian Armed Forces had not used a so-called sound cannon or a similar device at a March 15 protest in Belgrade.
"The Serbian Armed Forces have no such device," Gasic said at a session of a parliamentary committee on defence and interior affairs, noting that the army had not been involved in securing the protest.
Responding to criticism from committee member Miroslav Aleksic - the leader of the opposition People's Movement of Serbia - over a readiness to invite the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) to come to Serbia to examine the case of alleged use of a sound cannon, Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said no one was inviting the FBI and the FSB to conduct an investigation, but to help deliver an expert opinion.
