Enlargement Commissioner: Serbia Needs Deal on Reforms Needed for European Path

European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said on March 15 that an agreement on the reforms needed in Serbia's bid to join the European Union was needed after the March 15 protests in Belgrade.

"An unprecedented [number] of Serbian citizens peacefully demonstrated in Belgrade today, calling for the rule of law [and] strong, accountable democratic institutions. An agreement on reforms, which are necessary for Serbia’s EU path should follow," Kos said in a post on the X social media platform.

She thanked "everyone who ensured their safety."
