Elek: Pristina provisional institutions cannot be trusted, another hospital raid possible

GRACANICA - Srpska lista leader Zlatan Elek said on Monday Pristina provisional institutions could not be trusted and that there were fears of another raid on the Kosovska Mitrovica clinical hospital by the so-called Kosovo Police.

Srpska lista is a political organisation of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting of the Srpska lista Women's Union, Elek, who is also the hospital's director, said it had been raided twice in the past two years.

"One raid happened last year and the other happened this year. On both occasions, we - both myself and (the clinic's deputy director) Mr (Dragisa) Milovic - tried to be constructive. However, we were met with no understanding from the so-called Kosovo Police. As you know, we received no search warrants in either case, our video surveillance system has not been restored to operation and a certain amount of material damage was caused that we have received no compensation for and, as you all know well, nothing was found at the Clinical Hospital Centre," Elek said.

He also said the public would be informed in a timely manner of whether Srpska lista would run in the February elections in Kosovo-Metohija.
