Djuric speaks with Central African Republic's Baipo-Temon

BELGRADE - Serbian FM Marko Djuric spoke with the Central African Republic's FM Sylvie Baipo-Temon by phone on Monday to discuss further advancement and deepening of bilateral cooperation.

Djuric told Baipo-Temon Serbia was proud to cherish a friendship with the Central African Republic that was more than six decades long, initiated during the era of the emergence of the Non-Aligned Movement.

"Last year's visit by the President of the Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadera, in an anniversary year for our diplomatic relations represented an additional confirmation of the historical ties between our nations, as well as of the mutual commitment to step up political dialogue and exchange visits at the highest and high level in the future," Djuric said.

He expressed Serbia's readiness for, and openness to, further advancement and deepening of the cooperation with the Central African Republic in all areas of mutual interest, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.

He noted that the upcoming specialised EXPO 2027, to be hosted by Belgrade, was a great opportunity to forge closer ties between the two countries to find new ways for further development of relations.

Djuric said Serbia would be very pleased to welcome friends from the Central African Republic.
