BELGRADE - Serbian FM Marko Djuric met with French Ambassador to Belgrade Pierre Cochard on Thursday to discuss a ministerial meeting of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI), to be held in Paris on February 9.
Djuric said the meeting was taking place at the right time as the subject of AI was impacting all spheres of social life increasingly quickly and increasingly deeply.
Given that Serbia chairs the GPAI this year, Djuric said it was a good opportunity not only for Serbia but for all countries to gather around an idea, building new bridges of cooperation.
Speaking about bilateral relations with France, Djuric said they were on a high level and that the establishment of exceptionally good political dialogue between the two countries was a result of an excellent personal relationship between the two presidents, Aleksandar Vucic and Emmanuel Macron.
He also said bilateral economic cooperation had been developing intensively in the past several years and that the economy was fertile ground for further development and advancement of bilateral relations.
Noting that EU membership is a foreign policy priority of Serbia, Djuric thanked France for supporting Serbia on that path, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.
