BELGRADE - Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic announced on Wednesday evening he would not be playing at the upcoming Paris Masters.
"Unfortunately I won't be playing the Rolex Paris Masters this year. Sorry to everyone who was hoping to see me play there. Wishing all the players, sponsors, organisers and fans a great tournament. I have a lot of great memories winning seven titles there and hope to be back with you next year," Djokovic wrote in an Instagram post.
He last won the Paris Masters in 2023, beating Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov in the final.
The Serbian has still not stated whether he will play at the ATP Finals in Turin.
He needs to finish the year in the Top 8 of the ATP rankings to qualify for the tournament and is currently in the sixth position.
By the end of the year, Djokovic is certain to play an exhibition match against Argentine Juan Martin del Potro in Buenos Aires on December 1.
The match will be Del Potro's farewell from tennis.
