BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Friday received a farewell visit from Indonesian Ambassador to Belgrade Mochammad Chandra Widya Yudha, with whom he discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest.
In an Instagram post, Vucic wrote that he had thanked Indonesia for its persevering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia, whereby, he noted, the country showed respect for the fundamental principles of international law and the UN Charter.
"We agreed that it is very important that Serbia has signed the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, opening up new paths of cooperation with Indonesia as well as with other ASEAN member states," Vucic noted.
He said they had discussed everything the ambassador had done during his tenure in Serbia, contributing to a strengthening of Serbia-Indonesia relations.
Vucic said he hoped overall bilateral relations would continue to develop in the future as well.
"I asked the ambassador of Indonesia to convey my regards to President Prabowo Subianto, noting that I hope I will have an opportunity to welcome him again in Serbia," Vucic wrote in the post.
