BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic attended a regular annual analysis of the state of the Serbian Armed Forces and their operational and functional capabilities on Wednesday.
"We reviewed the capabilities, the achieved results as to improvements, equipment and training, as well as future steps towards development, with a view to strengthening the defence capacities of the Serbian Armed Forces. We discussed current security threats and challenges at global level. I also noted the significance of international cooperation and participation in peacekeeping missions, which further contributes to strengthening our capacity and reputation," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.
The analysis was also attended by caretaker PM Milos Vucevic, Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic and Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Gen Milan Mojsilovic.
The army is the pillar of our security and the pride of our country, Vucic added.
"We continue to modernise and develop it and to invest in its equipment and its people, because strong Serbian Armed Forces mean a peaceful and safe future," he noted.
