BELGRADE - Serbian PM Milos Vucevic met with MINTH Group Chairman Chin Jong Hwa on Tuesday to discuss the Chinese company's business operations and future investments in Serbia.
Vucevic said he was extremely pleased that MINTH Group - which already has a workforce of around 4,000 in Serbia - had picked Serbia as an investment destination and its future main base for autoparts production and exports, which he noted would have a major effect on economic development and job creation in Serbia, the Serbian government said in a statement.
Serbia will fully support the opening of an industry and technology park in Indjija, northern Serbia, which will employ Serbian as well as Chinese experts, Vucevic said.
Noting that the good relations between the two countries and the two nations were a precondition for business success and expansions in Serbia, Chin expressed gratitude for the continued support from Serbian institutions and for the good conditions for further investment.
Thanks to business forums and promotion of Serbia, Chinese companies identify Serbia as a desirable investment destination, Chin said, adding that he believed Serbia would in the future become one of the most desirable countries to invest in.
