Vucevic hopes court rulings will not lead to complex situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina

SARAJEVO - Commenting on the trial of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, Serbia's caretaker PM Milos Vucevic said on Friday in Sarajevo Serbia would stand by Republika Srpska and its legal and legitimate leadership, and noted that he hoped court rulings would not lead to a complex situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Speaking to reporters, Vucevic said he hoped no one was trying to misuse the judicial authorities to annul the electoral will of the citizens.

"Judicial authorities must not take away the sovereignty of citizens deciding in elections in democratic societies because that makes the idea of a rule-of-law, orderly state pointless," he said.

Vucevic said he hoped there would be no further destabilisation as destabilisation in Bosnia and Herzegovina was something that was reflected in the entire region.

"I want all nations to live in peace and all of us to hear and understand each other better. However complex and challenging it may be, dialogue is always good - it is better to talk about any subject than to create barriers. I repeat, I hope no one will try to annul the citizens' electoral will or go in that direction," he also said.
