Serbia’s protesting university students have announced that their next rally – under the slogan ‘Svi do mosta jer je dosta,’ which loosely translates to ‘To the bridge because we’ve had enough’ – will take place in downtown Belgrade at 3 p.m. on March 26 and involve a three-hour blockade of Branko’s Bridge, one of the capital’s major thoroughfares.
The rally will be held in support of Belgrade’s primary and secondary school teachers.
The protest is scheduled to end around 6 p.m. with a commemoration of the people who died on Nov. 1, 2024 when a concrete canopy at Novi Sad newly-renovated central railway station collapsed.
Ahead of the bridge blockade, the students have said, the public will be gathering at multiple locations throughout the city, from which they will march to Branko’s bridge.
