BATAJNICA - Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and a military delegation from the country attended a presentation of Serbian arms and military equipment at the Batajnica military airport near Belgrade on Tuesday.
Opportunities for military cooperation were presented as well.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic led the Kazakh delegation during the display.
Serbian Assistant Defence Minister Nenad Miloradovic presented a locally developed Serbian assault plane as well as helicopters and various types of weapons they can be equipped with.
He also presented Serbian training planes and said Kazakhstan's delegation had told him the country needed a basic plane for flight training.
"We will offer this for joint cooperation, as well as various types of guided and unguided ammunition," Miloradovic said, to which Vucic added that what Serbia could offer was much cheaper than anything anyone else could.
"Your pilots can complete basic training on these small planes," he told Tokayev.
Miloradovic also presented Serbia's best tank, the M-84, which comes equipped with six surveillance cameras and other leading-edge equipment.
"With your team, we have discussed some joint projects in this area. For instance, we used to have an engine factory and engines of this type are in high demand now," he told Tokayev.
The display was also attended by Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic and his Kazakh counterpart Lt-Gen Ruslan Jaqsylyqov.
Also presented were the modernised M-84AS2 tank, the modernised M-80AB1/2 IFV, the Lazar-3 and Lazanski wheeled 8x8 armoured combat vehicles, the Milos-M multi-role 4x4 armoured combat vehicle, the Mali Milos unmanned platform as well as variants of the PASARS anti-aircraft defence system, the modernised 122 mm Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, the modular Oganj missile system, the 155 mm Nora M21 self-propelled cannon howitzer and the Soko self-propelled howitzer.
