BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy Parliament Speaker Marina Ragus, who also chairs the parliamentary committee on foreign affairs, and Czech Ambassador to Belgrade Jan Bondi met on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations between their countries and agreed there was room for advancement of cooperation in many areas.
Parliamentary cooperation, as an important segment of overall relations between Serbia and Czechia, is not on the desired level, and the parties expressed a need to advance it, the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia said in a statement.
Ragus and Bondi agreed cooperation between the committees of foreign affairs of the Serbian and Czech parliaments and initiated cooperation between parliamentary working bodies dealing with agricultural and economic affairs.
They also discussed numerous issues relating to the global geopolitical situation as well as the issue of governance of artificial intelligence and its impact on the global economy and social life in general, and also touched upon the current situation in Serbia and the importance of establishing dialogue in society.
