BELGRADE - Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Serbia's Statehood Day, noting that a strategic partnership between Serbia and Russia was developing dynamically in spite of international conditions that were not easy.
Putin also expressed the confidence the two countries would be able to continue to strengthen their mutually beneficial cooperation in various spheres and carry out joint projects, the press office of the president of Serbia said in a statement.
"I am confident that, relying on the centuries-old ties of brotherly friendship and spiritual closeness that connect the Russians and the Serbs, we will be able to further strengthen the mutually beneficial cooperation in various spheres in a continued manner and carry out promising joint projects," Putin wrote in a congratulatory message to Vucic.
"I wish health and success to you and well-being and prosperity to all citizens of Serbia," Putin concluded.
