BELGRADE - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS) maintains constant communication with the US embassy in Belgrade to provide the latest information on new US tariffs to companies exporting to the US, the PKS said on Friday, announcing that it would host a meeting with the biggest exporters to the US on Monday.
Following the announcement of 37 pct tariffs on Serbian exports to the US, the PKS has contacted the majority of Serbian exporters to the US and set up a special working group to deal with the tariffs issue, a PKS statement said, noting that the working group was in constant session.
"The PKS expert services maintain constant communication with state authorities that are also working on finding the best solutions for the Serbian economy," the statement also said.
Based on the communication the PKS has had with US institutions to date, a conclusion has been made that, currently, there is not enough precise and detailed information on the new tariffs, the chamber of commerce said.
