Pamela Bach, Baywatch star and ex-wife of David Hasselhoff, dies aged 62

Bach appeared on several popular TV series like Baywatch, Cheers and Knight Rider, where she met her future husband David Hasselhoff. Bach's death has been determined as suicide.

Pamela Bach, the former Baywatch actress and ex-wife of David Hasselhoff, has died aged 62.

Bach was found at home in the Hollywood Hills on Wednesday 5 March. The Los Angeles medical examiner's office reports determined her death was a suicide.

Also known as Pamela Hasselhoff, Bach appeared on shows like The Young And The Restless, Cheers, T.J. Hooker, and met her future husband on the set of his series, Knight Rider. Bach and Hasselhoff were married in December 1989, and had two daughters, Taylor and Hayley. She went on to star alongside Hasselhoff on the popular lifeguard TV series Baywatch.

Hasselhoff filed for divorce in January 2006 and the former couple had a contentious split, with Bach accusing him of domestic abuse.

"Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff," Hasselhoff said in a statement. "We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time."

Bach's representative, Sharon Kelly, told TMZ she was shocked by her death.

"My heart goes out to her family, her beautiful daughters and granddaughter who Pamela constantly gushes about and loves so dearly," she said.
