BELGRADE - National Tourism Organisation of Serbia Director Marija Labovic said on Thursday Serbia's foreign exchange revenue from tourism had totalled 2.833 bln euros in 2024 - 11 pct more relative to the previous year - and noted that the result was something to be proud of.
"The United Nations World Tourism Organisation has acknowledged this growth of foreign exchange income as one of the highest in the world, and Serbia is among the top 5 per cent of countries with such prominent growth in tourism," Labovic told reporters at the 46th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade, which officially opened to visitors earlier in the day.
Italy is the partner country at this year's fair.
At the Italy booth, Labovic spoke with the director of the Italian national tourism organisation, Ivana Jelinic, and an agreement was made for the two organisations to cooperate in the future.
