Kazakhstan President to Visit Serbia

On Nov. 19 and 20, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will be hosting his Kazakhstani counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The visit will include a plenary meeting between the delegations of Serbia and Kazakhstan led by the two heads of state, where bilateral agreements will be signed.

Together, Vucic and Tokayev will also tour the display of military equipment and arms at the Colonel-Pilot Milenko Pavlovic Airfield in Batajnica.

On Nov. 18, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce will hold a Serbian-Kazakhstani business forum, aimed at further strengthening economic collaboration between the two countries, especially in the areas of information and communication technology, agriculture, construction and transportation.

In the past year, commodity exchange between Serbia and Kazakhstan has increased 23 percent, reaching a total of USD91 million.

Kazakhstan – a significant domestic partner on the logistics corridor between China and Europe – currently has 36 Serbian companies active in its territory, while 35 business entities majority-owned by Kazakhstani citizens are operating in Serbia.
