It's a dark day for fans of Glen Powell... But it's hard to argue with People magazine's pick for 2024.
It’s official: John Krasinski is People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2024.
The yearly and coveted title was announced last night during The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The actor-writer-director has starred in the US version of The Office before leading the action series Jack Ryan. He has starred in films like Detroit and 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, has done several voice roles for children's animation films, and also co-wrote, directed and starred in A Quiet Place, which has grown into a three-film franchise.
Earlier this year, he debuted his sixth directorial effort, IF, a film about imaginary friends that featured his wife and fellow performer Emily Blunt.
He joked in an interview with the magazine that he’s hoping Blunt makes good on a promise to plaster the cover as wallpaper at their home.
Krasinski, 45, takes the sexy title form Patrick Dempsey, who was crowned last year’s Sexiest Man Alive.
Other Sexiest Man Alive recipients include Michael B. Jordan, John Legend, Paul Rudd, Brad Pitt, Harrison Ford and Mel Gibson, who was the magazine's first recipient in 1985.
The People edition with Krasinski’s cover story will be out Friday 15 November.
