Five Members of Zvornik and Bratunac Brigades’ Military Police Accused of Genocide in Bosnia

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina raised an indictment on Jan. 8 against five Serbs, charging them with genocide.

The indictment is raised against Rajko Milic, Miodrag Pavlovic, Radenko Zariz, Vukasin Draskovic and Milan Tomic, stated the Prosecution. According to the indictment, “they participated in the capturing and forced incarceration of more than 829 Bosniac men and boys in a school gym in the settlement of Rocevic near Zvornik in July 1995.”

Pavlovic is accused of “killing several prisoners with a cold weapon” and the rest of “participating in the transporting and shooting of prisoners at the gravel yard in Kozluk.” The accused were military police of the Zvornik and Bratunac brigades of the former Army of Republika Srpska (VRS).
