Ethiopians celebrate Orthodox Christmas with prayers, feasts, and acts of charity

Draped in white attire, people attended prayers and midnight mass, following the Julian calendar.

Despite recent earthquakes, which have displaced many, Ethiopians celebrated with family feasts and shared meals with the less fortunate. The historic Church of Lalibela saw pilgrim visitors, with tourists praising the unique blend of ancient and modern traditions.
