Eco-friendly fireworks light up sky for early New Year celebrations in China

Since 2023, the city has held regular Saturday fireworks shows to boost tourism, attracting over 5 million spectators to date. On Saturday, more than 100,000 people gathered at Liuyang's Sky Theatre for the special year-end show.

Liuyang has pioneered the development of environmentally friendly fireworks, aiming to reduce the industry's environmental impact while preserving the stunning visual effects for which the city is famous.
