MIAMI - Serbia's top-ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic has been drawn to face compatriot Hamad Medjedovic or Australian Rinky Hijikata in the second round of the Miami Masters tournament.
Djokovic will be seeded in the first round.
The draw ceremony was held on Monday.
In the opening round, Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic will play American Aleksandar Kovacevic, with the winner of the tie to face Norwegian Casper Ruud in the next round.
Top-seed Alexander Zverev of Germany will play Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi or a qualifier in the second round, and reigning champion Jannik Sinner of Italy will not be defending his title due to a suspension for doping.
The Miami Masters tournament will be taking place from March 19 through 30.
