Brnabic: Serbia a country of innovation, 2024 ICT services exports exceeded 4 bln euros

BELGRADE - In 2024, Serbia's ICT services exports exceeded 4 bln euros for the first time, Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Thursday, noting that the Serbian government had placed special emphasis on the IT sector and created infrastructure and the required conditions, believing that Serbia was a country of know-how and innovation.

In a post on X, Brnabic congratulated the entire IT community of Serbia, the Government of Serbia, caretaker PM Milos Vucevic and President Aleksandar Vucic on the achieved result, noting that, as early as during his tenure as PM, Vucic had placed special emphasis on the IT sector and set up a ministerial council for IT.

"Many were skeptical at the time, many believed the goals we set were unachievable, but we worked hard and we believed all the time. We believed in the people in Serbia, above all, in young people," Brnabic noted.
